I am bridging molecular and cellular biology and system neuroscience. My recent work focuses on addressing  neural mechanisms of cognitive behaviors. Here are some papers I wrote:

Xue Han, Chih-Tien Wang, Jihong Bai, Edwin R. Chapman and Meyer B. Jackson. "Transmembrane segments of syntaxin line the fusion pore of Ca2+-triggered exocytosis. " Science 304 (5668): 289-92 (2004)

I grew up in  Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in the Northeast China, an area also known as Manchuria. Harbin is famous for its annual ice and snow festival. Here are some pictures I took. R Todd King is a nice website about the festival over the years, and some history about the city.

My name Xue is pronounced as "Shu-é", with letter "X" pronounced as "Sh", which means snow in Chinese.
